BLOKK is a non-profit organization founded in May 2011 by several graduating Master students from Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen, with the purpose to organize and create a new studio-collective in Bergen with a main focus on recently graduated artists.

BLOKK houses 15 artist studios, a ventilated spraypaint-room, one wood-workshop, one wet-workshop for the production of art and a project space / showroom.

We aim to create an active studio with the option for members to participate in projects outside of the building, and help to form an studio collective which evolves with the members and their needs.

The BLOKK board also annually curates and manages four exhibitions featuring artists from outside of the collective as well as other art-related events.

We are interested in all artistic processes and hope to have a collective of diverse practices.

The styret/board of BLOKK are, per 2014, Linda Soh Trengereid, Helene Norseth, Corrina Thornton, Håkon Holm-Olsen and Hans Christian van Nijkerk.

BLOKK has received funding from Norsk Kulturråd, Bergen Kommune, Sparebanken Vest, DNB and Sotra Bruk.
